Financial & Insurance Information
Welcome and thank you for choosing G. Stewart Mill, D.D.S. for your dental care. We are committed to providing you with the highest quality dental care, in an efficient, timely and cost-effective manner. We hope that by providing you with our policies in advance we can prevent any misunderstanding.
Insurance
Please make sure we have all current and correct insurance information. We will file your insurance and accept payment from them, but you are responsible for any remaining balances. Your co-pay is due when services are rendered. For your convenience, we take cash, checks, Care Credit, and all major credit cards.
Cash Patients
If you don’t have insurance we offer a 10% cash discount if paying by check or cash. If paying by credit card, we offer a 7% discount.
Late Arrivals
We do our best to keep to the schedule and to not keep anyone waiting. When a patient arrives late, it is impossible to stay on schedule. If you arrive more than 15 minutes past your appointment time, you will be rescheduled so that other patients are not inconvenienced.
No Shows and Late Cancellations
We require a 24-hour advance notice if you must cancel your appointment. For your convenience, we confirm your appointment the day prior to your scheduled visit. If you cancel on the same day as your appointment, you will be considered a NO SHOW for that visit. A $25.00 fee may be charged to your account.
Insurance Changes
We do our best to give you the best estimate for your co-pay, however, the insurance companies have started changing the ADA codes on procedures and paying for the lesser "adequate" procedures. For example, if we place a composite or "white" filling, the insurance company may downgrade your benefit to an amalgam or "silver" filling which will reduce the amount they have to pay out. We will do our best to help you maximize your benefits, but you may have a balance after your insurance has paid.
